Hills Health Solutions, a leading supplier of nurse call and patient engagement solutions and Olinqua, an information technology company focused on developing applications that enhance communication and task management, will showcase their latest integrations at the Institute of Australian Healthcare Engineers (IHEA) Conference from 11-13 May at the Perth Exhibition and Conference Centre.
In December 2021 Hills and Olinqua announced a strategic partnership, focused on delivering a converged IP based platform that will improve critical alarm by connecting disparate systems and workflows seamlessly to deliver smarter, safer hospitals and aged care facilities
The Hills and Olinqua integration allows notifications made via the nurse call system – including staff assist, Code Blue emergencies and general patient call requests – to be linked with Olinqua’s integration engine and automatically sent to a clinical mobile device.
The automation also triages alerts and notifications to ensure that the right person receives the right message in real time. This real time synchronisation provides a better, smarter, more connected way for staff to communicate and respond to patient requests.

Other Olinqua & Hills integration capabilities
Other Hills and Olinqua digital health solutions on display at the IHEA Conference include:
- Smarter clinical communications – connect health and aged care workforces across wards, departments, buildings, and different business units together via a single integrated solution, which includes a switchboard interface offering bidirectional workflows, communications, automation, and shortcuts.
- Effective workflows – through hospital equipment tracking, real-time monitoring and reporting of tasks and environment monitoring (e.g., for vaccine fridges), our solution seamlessly connects health and aged care workforces to their environments, facilitating more productive workflows.
- Enhanced staff safety – in the event of duress buttons, safety tags or alarms being activated, our integration system will be able to send an alarm trigger/notification to Hills’ annunciators and other clinical mobile devices.
